Poem turns Claude Code and Codex into chats on your Mac. Every coding agent gets its own chat: text it what you want built, and Poem pings you when it’s done or when it needs your yes.
It runs the real Claude Code and Codex, signed in with your own accounts, so they work the way they do in Terminal. Poem is the place you talk to them.
What Poem can do
Chats per agent
Every project gets its own chat, with Claude Code or Codex, in one list.

Pings and approvals
A notification when an agent finishes or needs your yes, and Allow or Deny right in the chat.

Usage limits in the chat
Your session and weekly usage, without leaving the chat. When a limit runs out, Poem says which one and offers a model with room.

iPhone and Poem relay
Poem for iPhone shows your Mac’s chats on your phone. Mac and iPhone talk through Poem relay, end-to-end encrypted with a key only they have.

Names and pictures
Give each chat a name and a picture or a color, so you can tell your agents apart at a glance.

Models, thinking and Ultracode
Pick the model and how hard it thinks, chat by chat. Ultracode is one tap in the model menu.

Claude Code and Codex side by side
Both in one list, each with your own account, and up to 3 Claude accounts.

How it works
- The real Claude Code and Codex. Poem launches the unmodified tools on your Mac, so they work the way they do in Terminal.
- Your own sign-in. You sign in to Claude or ChatGPT in the tool itself, with your own account. Poem never sees, copies or stores your sign-in.
- End-to-end to your iPhone. Poem for iPhone talks to your Mac through Poem relay, encrypted with a key only your Mac and iPhone have.
What you need
- A Mac on macOS 12 or newer.
- Your own Claude Pro or Max plan for Claude Code, or ChatGPT Plus or Pro for Codex. Poem installs the tool for you if it isn’t there yet.
Pricing
- Free: up to 2 chats, forever.
- Pro: unlimited chats, $9.99 a month or $84 a year, 3-day free trial, cancel anytime.
- iPhone: Poem for iPhone is included.
FAQ
Is Poem made by Anthropic or OpenAI?
No. Poem is not made by, affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic or OpenAI. It runs Claude Code and Codex, which you sign in to with your own accounts.
Is it a different AI?
No. The real Claude Code and Codex, just like Terminal.
Does it use more of my plan?
No. Same Claude Code, same usage.
Is it free?
Yes. Up to 2 chats free, forever. Pro is unlimited: $9.99 a month or $84 a year, 3 days free, cancel anytime.
What do I need?
A Mac on macOS 12 or later, and your own Claude Pro or Max plan for Claude Code, or ChatGPT Plus or Pro for Codex. Poem installs the tool for you.
Does it work from my phone?
Yes. Poem for iPhone shows your Mac’s chats. Pairing is a one-time setup: on the same Wi-Fi your iPhone finds your Mac, and you click Allow on the Mac. After that it works anywhere, on Wi-Fi or cellular.
Does it track me?
The app doesn’t: no analytics, no account. This website counts visits, and the privacy page says how.
Is it heavier than Terminal?
Often lighter. Each chat runs the same Claude Code as Terminal, but quiet chats sleep after 20 minutes and wake in a second.
